Ok, so heres the deal.  99% of the time, store bought crackers are made with preservatives and artificial ingredients.  The ingredients list is pretty long, and often times I can't pronounce many of the items on the list.  This bums me out.

Crackers are the perfect snack because they go great with dips or soups (especially a pumpkin or sweet potato soup!), or topped with a creamy cashew cheese, but I'm not interested in all the additives of store bought brands. The thought of making my own crackers never really crossed my mind because they're just one of those items that are so easy to pick up at your grocery store.

But how about a preservative-free cracker that you can make with minimal effort in your own kitchen? Yes, this does exist!  The ingredients in this recipe can quickly be thrown together in a bowl, rolled out, cut out, and then baked.  Yes the process will take longer than just driving to your supermarket and picking up a box, but how awesome that you can make your own and they are much healthier!  Plus, you'll really impress your guests!

I first learned that I could make my own crackers when I discovered Angela Liddon of Oh She Glows recipe for Any Way You Like 'Em Crackers.  My recipe for Cranberry Coconut Crackers was inspired by hers, so if you want a more savory cracker then I recommend trying her recipe too!
